Cape Shank House is spectacular building situated in Mornington Peninsula. The Mornington Peninsula is a peninsula located south – east of Melbourne in Victoria Australia. It is also a tourist destination surrounded by beaches and seaside resorts.
The house is sitted on a high dune at Cape Schank Victoria.
The structure is composed to take advantage of expansive views across the Mornington eninsula from Brass Strait to Port Phillip Bay. The house fits with the landscape in both form and materiality. The upper level extends westwards towards the views, appearing to emerge from the Ti-tree over an artificial escarpment formed by the lower level.
