The clocks have sprung forward an hour and the sun has begun shining that little brighter, Barcelona has been catapulted into spring — and is celebrating with the fifth edition of popular electronic-minded music and street food festival, SoundEat.
Bons Records label owner Pau Roca will kick off proceedings with a three-hour B2B set with MLiR; Foals keyboard player Edwin Congreave will be spinning some choice tracks; electronic duo Detroit Swindle will take to the stage and run the crowd through a musical journey that spans disco to house; and 21 year-old Berlin prodigy Max Graef will close the festival with his fresh take on vintage house spliced with the sort of funk, jazz and hip-hop that has seen him put out albums on labels like the highly-esteemed Ninja Tunes.
Taking place this Saturday, 8 April, from midday until 10pm, SoundEat will also keep budding ravers amused with a series of kids’ activities; whilst a variety of the city’s finest food trucks are on hand to serve up everything from wood-oven-cooked pizzas to Californian and Peruvian street food from We Heart favourites Eureka Street Food and Warike respectively.
