I see more actual southwestern american/mexican style architecture in this home than anything else. I have read the tolkien books over 100 times, and the porch with the table (The Council of Elrond) is the only thing I see that might resemble anything from tolkien’s novels. This home is clearly an open air oasis, but I see nothing tolkien about it. Sorry. It’s beautiful and scerene, and it is very lovely, but not tolkien.

You do realize that “Lord of the Rings” is a book that came out long before the movie, right? Obviously, the designer of this home did read the book and was able to visualize certain aspects of the book and incorporate them into his home. I see a lot of “elven” influence as well as “hobbit” in the rooms.

The design of the house is marvelous,both interior and exterior. However, I am not sure how much is related with LOTR thematic.
