Antigua

When you are on vacation in Antigua everywhere you look it seems to be yet another exhilarating view of sea, cliff or tropical landscape. You will find a more gorgeous combination of white sand and thrashing surf than Half Moon Bay.

The picture displays the 18th-century Fort Berkeley, a 15-minute stroll from Nelson’s Dockyard, where you can enjoy an outstanding view of precipitous coastline.

The Copper and Lumber Store Hotel.

This is the Nelson’s Dockyard, which is a favorite pit stop for sailboats and yachts from all over the Caribbean.

Shirley Heights, just east of English Harbour, offers the island’s most comprehensive panorama of the sheltered bays and rocky coast of southern Antigua.

At Harmony Hall you can have a delicious lunch. The picture shows a steamed lobster in court bouillon and pappardelle with lobster and cherry tomatoes.
The ruins of the plantation known as Betty’s Hope are a reminder that Antigua was once, in effect, a huge colonial sugar mill, which ran on slave and wind power.
Antigua is an island in the West Indies, in the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean region, the main island of the country of Antigua and Barbuda.
