Hotel Joule, Dallas

September 11th, 2008  |  Published in Architecture  |  8 Comments | by

The Joule Hotel in Dallas is the first true designer hotel in Dallas. The Joule embodies a new sense of energy sweeping through the revitalized historic center.

The restoration of the 1920s Neo-Gothic façade is further enhanced by a new 10-story tower, striking lobby and spectacular swimming pool.

The hotel also features 2,374 square feet of event space and a 1,500-sq.-ft. deluxe gym. Nearby attractions include Victory Park and the Dallas Museum of Art, as well as shopping at the flagship original Neiman Marcus location, dining and entertainment in the West End historic district and the West Village.

That would be terrifying. I wouldn’t have the guts to swim in that pool. Looks awesome though.

The rooftop pool partially hangs off the side of the building with a plexiglass side so not only can swimmers look down at the city below but pedestrians can look up at the swimmers.
